EIM International Announces Legal AutoDeclaration (LegalRAD)
New York, NY, April 2, 2007 - EIM International is pleased to announce its first product in the emerging records management field - Records AutoDeclaration (LegalRAD). LegalRAD will facilitate the declaration of documents from Open Text Livelink ECM - eDOCS repositories into Open Text's LegalKEY® Records Management system.
With LegalRAD, EIM builds upon its highly acclaimed WINC product suite, already used extensively with the Open Text Livelink ECM products. For this initial release, LegalRAD will interoperate with LegalKEY v4 and Livelink ECM - eDOCS DM.
Customers implementing LegalRAD will benefit from extended opportunities to automate and streamline their records management procedures. Previously, declaring electronic documents for records management has been a manual process. Law firms will build rules for automatically declaring the documents in LegalKEY's Retention module. When the trigger event occurs LegalRAD will silently and automatically declare relevant documents as records to LegalKEY Records Management System.
According to Peter Lieber, Vice President of EIM, "The functionality we are providing with LegalRAD is based on demand for seamless matter lifecycle management. It reflects the need for law firms and legal departments to more tightly integrate traditional document management and records management functions. LegalRAD is the enabling technology that is the outcome of Records and IT staff communicating. Once the records retention policies have been determined, and the attorney/staff interaction has been addressed, LegalRAD will be the product that applies the appropriate process."
